Prabowo: I will work and fight for all Indonesian people

However, after the election, the people demanded that all leadership elements work together and collaborate for the sake of goodness, welfare, and prosperity. Cooperation from various parties is needed to eliminate poverty, hunger, and corruption in Indonesia.

Apart from that, Prabowo-Gibran Rakabuming Raka also emphasized his commitment to becoming president for all groups, including those who did not vote for him during the last presidential election. Because, his party does not want any people to be left behind and not enjoy the results of independence.

"I will prove that I will work, fight for all the Indonesian people, including those who did not vote for me," said Prabowo when giving a speech at the Open Plenary Meeting to Determine the Elected Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates 2024 Elections which was held at the KPU Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4/2024).

According to Prabowo, the world has changed. If Indonesia wants to remain a prosperous and thriving nation, all leadership elements must work together. He invites all elites to dare to set aside their differences and overcome divergent feelings. All elements must cultivate awareness and love for the homeland to sacrifice for the people.

"Only by uniting, working together, will we achieve the ideals expected by our nation," he said.

Furthermore, Prabowo also expressed gratitude to Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD who participated in the presidential election. He apologized if there were any inappropriate or displeasing attitudes and actions. Prabowo-Gibran also thanked all the election organizers for successfully conducting the largest simultaneous election.

"I express my gratitude to Mr. President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo, for his leadership in ensuring that the general election was conducted well, in an orderly and safe manner," said Prabowo.

He also expressed his gratitude to the entire campaign team, volunteers, and supporters. He also conveyed his gratitude to the media and press who worked hard to provide news and knowledge to all the people of Indonesia.

Because a free and vital press is an absolute requirement for democracy. "Although sometimes harsh on the ears, we still appreciate our press media," said Prabowo.

Separately, Anies stated that he was present during the announcement of the elected president and vice president in the KPU to respect the presidential election process. "We are present because we want to honor the ongoing state process. The state process has been completed earlier," he said.

Even though Prabowo and Gibran have been declared elected as president and vice president, according to Anies, there are records of election violations that have been revealed at the Constitutional Court.

"The notes given by the Constitutional Court must not be forgotten and must be implemented. There are many notes from there that are one of the keys to improving the quality of our democracy in the future," he said.
